Merry Christmas from Antigua! It’s a very quiet Christmas morning here in Antigua because the big celebrations have already happened–at midnight, to be precise. Exactly at midnight, the whole country lets loose with fireworks and they are pretty much the loudest and longest fireworks that we have ever seen or heard. After that, everyone is pretty quiet on Christmas morning.
We went for a walk into town on Christmas Eve to see what was happening and came upon a procession as well as a marriage proposal!
We ended the night with some churros from a street vendor. The girls were pretty excited about that.

And here are the kids on Christmas morning patiently waiting for their parents to make their coffee.

Looks like a big procession in town. Missed you here but had a nice time at Roger and Rosalyn.
